Exchanging a foreigners driver's license for a national driver's license.

A Driver's licence that was issued by a authorized foreign institute can be exchanged for a national driver's licence after examining the authenticity of the required documents that the possessor of the driver's licence presents and through an aptitude test or an aptitude test and a simple theory test . Whether or not the simple theory test is needed depends on the particular country the foreign license is from and whether they acknowledge the Korean national driver's license
With regards Foreign Drivers licenses, only a full license is acknowledged, and a temporary, learner, provisional, probationary license or permit and ceritficate cannot be used to gain a Korean national license.
