Cheonggye Temple

Cheonggye Temple on the skirt of the mountain Construction of the temple began during the Unified Shilla period and was completed in the 10th year of King Chungyeol of the Korea ynasty (1284).

It houses the monument Cheonggye Sajeokbi, built by King Sukjong of the Joseon Dynasty in his 15th year (1689), and Geukrakbojeon, which seems to have been built in the later years of the Joseon Dynasty. In addition, Cheonggye Temple has 10 buildings, including three temple dormitories composed of Jonggak, Samsunggak, Jijangjeon Hall, and Sugak. The temple, designated as Provincial Cultural Property No. 6, also contains Gamnoji pond.
