Cheonggye Mountain links Uiwang, Gwacheon, and Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province
with Yangjae-dong in Seoul, is well known as a "Jwacheong" (dragon ascending into heaven on the left) and "Ubaekh” (white tiger on the right), safeguarding Seoul together with Gwanak Mountain. Its beautiful 2-kilometer-long valleys always have clean water flowing with lush forests alongside them. People frequent this mountain for rest and enjoyment. The summit of this mountain, called Cheonyong Mountain because a blue dragon ascended into heaven here, has Manggyeongdae, with peaks such as Maebong (hawk peak) resembling the head of a hawk and "Oknyeobong.“
